Construction Law – We represent the interests of a variety of clients (material suppliers, subcontractors, contractors, and owners) during all phases of a construction project. Our services include contract review and negotiation, consultation and trouble shooting during the construction, and negotiation of construction disputes. We also represent clients in mediation and arbitration proceedings. We file mechanics lien and bond claims to protect our clients' rights, and we litigate to enforce the rights we have preserved for them. We have extensive experience in public and private construction matters and the related litigation they generate in federal and state courts. Commercial Litigation - When a problem confronts our business clients, we work with them to find the best and most cost effective solution. When possible, we prefer solutions that avoid the expense of litigation. In that regard, we have negotiated and drafted contracts, negotiated resolutions of disputes, and renegotiated contracts to avoid problems arising in the future. We have litigated or otherwise resolved disputes involving negotiable instruments, secured transactions, bankruptcy, contract disputes, warranty claims, guarantees,, injunctions, sales of good disputes, replevin claims, employment disputes, wage and hour claims, and a host of other issues. Business Law – An hour of counseling is often worth a year of litigation. Thus, we provide our clients with the benefit of our judgment and experience in order to allow them to effectively conduct their affairs and avoid the need to employ our litigation expertise. In this regard, we help our clients to decided which form of business organization is right for them. Once that decision has been made, we assist clients to incorporate, draft partnership agreements, LLC management agreements and other organizational documents. We draft business forms, review contracts, and otherwise cater to the legal needs of our clients as those needs arise under our role as their general counsel. Intellectual Property - The Firm represents business clients in matters involving trade secrets, confidential information and in the enforcement of restrictive covenants. |
